Frequently asked questions
What voltage are e-scooter batteries?
Commuter scooters mostly run 36V or 48V packs of 150 to 600 Wh. Performance scooters use 52V, 60V or 72V packs of 1,000 to 3,000 Wh. Of the 62 models with a known voltage here, 16 are 36V, 13 are 48V, 6 are 52V, 16 are 60V, 11 are 72V.
How long does an e-scooter battery last?
Most lithium-ion scooter packs are rated for 500 to 1,000 full cycles before dropping to about 80% of their original capacity, which is 3 to 5 years of daily commuting. Storing the scooter at 40 to 60% charge and avoiding charging in freezing temperatures extends that.
Can I replace an e-scooter battery myself?
Scooter packs are shaped for one deck and use brand-specific connectors, so the official replacement from the brand is the safe choice. The model pages link each brand's replacement battery where the brand sells one. Generic e-bike packs do not fit scooters.
